Synopsis
A travelogue advertising the touristic delights of Bulawayo and district. It includes shots of landscapes in Rhodesia, big game, fishing, the Kariba Dam, and Victoria Falls. There are aerial shots of Bulawayo, along with planes, trains, hotels, a caravan park, and the Tourist Information Office. Various scenes of life in Bulawayo are shown - traffic and pedestrians on the streets, the shops, the Centenary Park,and the National Museum, where African Art is on exhibition, and black potters are shown at work. A white family is shown visiting the ruined stone walls of the Okame ruins, west of Bulawayo. More scenes are shown of the various activities and places of interest around Bulawayo including swimming pools, rugby, ducks on a parkland lake, an art exhibition, a Trade Fair, the Rhodesia Railway Museum and sunday racing at Bulawayo racecourse. Nightlife and restaurants are also seen. The film concludes with shots of the Matopo Hills, Rhodes grave and a game reserve with wild animals.
