Synopsis
Nigeria: Palm oil mill. A modern method of palm oil extraction. Gold Coast: Houses to last. A quick and inexpensive way of building houses.
'Nigeria - a Modern Method of Palm Oil Extraction' Two men walk to palm oil mill with palm fruits. Contents weighed and payment made. Palm fruit put into boiler, the skin and fibre and seperated from the nuts. Pans with nuts to extractor where oil is extracted into drums.
Gold Coast - Houses that Last' Kumasi suburb housing estate. Blocks of laterite being made. Dug up first and taken away in a lorry where blocks are made with molding machine. They are then dried for a week. Houses being built with blocks, scenes of finished estate.
