Synopsis

Amateur film about tradition and change in Africa including footage of a male circumcision ceremony performed by the Bugisu tribe, Uganda.

Footage includes: Long introductory intertitle on dark traditions of Africa and how it is changing, natives on boats on Lake Victoria, boat being carved from wood, wildlife scenes including footage of the crested crane, the national emblem of Uganda, Mt. Elgon, River Nile, Murchison Falls, elephants drinking in Lake Victoria, cooking bananas, graphic sequence of circumcision ritual.
