Synopsis
Main title. A general view of the throne dais in the centre of the vast arena (62); a horse-drawn carriage and its cavalry escort arrive in procession in the arena (108); the same carriage reaches the canopied dais and the Viceroy of India and Lady Hardinge alight and walk in procession to take up their position near the two thrones (141). The arrival of the Royal carriage and escort in the arena (217). [Missing scenes?]. King George V and Queen Mary walk from the larger and loftier throne dais (where the proclamation of the coronation had been made). The Royal party and attendants walk along the broad, raised way from the throne dais to a smaller dais (387). The King makes a speech [announncing the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi] standing in front of the throne (416). Indian princes and officials pay homage to the King and Queen (443). The Royal party prepare to leave and the carriages leave the dais and drive in front of the amphitheatre (480ft).
