Synopsis
Documentary. The Patonka tribe, their family structure, work methods are shown as they prepare to move to the highlands. The building of the Kariba Dam means the village will be flooded; preparation for the move, building a new village and the final move. The main focus is on the family of Bulawayo (ten wives and many many children including 12 married sons). The film shows them being advised by the District Commissioner of the land that has been reserved for them and the pest control activities that were undertaken before the familes arrived.
