Synopsis
Scenes of the Australian (?) army training in the desert in Egypt. Plus extracts from two other films.
Main title (5). Field artillery in the desert. The artillery is readied for moving off (32). The artillery riding off in columns (39). Mounted infantry: the infantry lying on the ground and shooting. They then mount their horses and ride off (83). Riding off in columns (131). Long single line of mounted infantry canter. They stop, dismount, lie on ground then shoot. The horses are led off and brought back. The soldiers remount (221). A sentry on duty with the pyramids and Nile in silhouette in the background (225). The wreck of a ship on the coast near the shoreline (252). People run along the beach to the wreck. A large harbour wall can be seen in the background (271). People on the beach looking at the wreck (284). The wreck, a row boat and a line of men on the beach hauling on a rope. Survivors are brought ashore. A number of British army officers are in evidence (383). A temporary army camp in the English (?) countryside with horses and tents (393).
