Synopsis

Men of the Yorkshire Regiment being interviewed on various locations in Gibraltar.

The men discuss how they came to be in the army and how they like Gibraltar. Scenes of a band parading for the Changing of the Guard, and a guard patrolling the border with Spain. The garrison NAAFI club. How the men fill in their spare time (one soldier likes sailing, another fishing, potholing activities; the various pubs on the island). Domestic life - the married quarters, and the idea that on the whole the island is better for married rather than single people. Wives talk about their life here. Social life: Gibraltar's tourist attractions, and trips to Tangier and North Africa (popular when the soldiers are on leave) - Tangier night life. Back to military duty with "the Prince of Wales' own regiment of Yorkshire".
