Synopsis
Sixth film in a series showing the story of air power and its impact on the world. This episode shows the strength of Combined Operations.
The film shows: attempts to break into Norway; Objective Dieppe, Allied attempts to strike the French coast; the training scheme in Canada; the Air Transport Auxiliary, who take the new planes to the squadrons; Operation Torch, mounted against North Africa, by the combined forces of Britain and the USA; aircraft ready for action in Gibraltar, November 1942; attacks by the Germans to try and stop Operation Torch; Allied attempts to get a foothold around Tunisia, and the Allies reaching Tunisia in May 1943. The film indicates that the Germans are now beginning to lose strength.
