Synopsis

The rubber industry in Malaya.

The rubber plantation with tappers doing their job. From June 1948 onwards, when Malaya's emergency began, new areas were still cleaned for planting; footage of the seedlings being prepared in the nursery and planted in the fields, the clone being grafted on and the production of sheet rubber. The welfare of the workers. The film ends on a gloomy note: "since the end of the Korean war prices have fallen and so have wages. There is a growing fear of employment".
