Synopsis

Mute film of the 13/18 Hussars on duty in the Far East.

Checkpoint: local people searched. Morris 1000 passes armoured vehicle. (Blank 25 ft to 27 ft) Woman puts out washing in garden of house (troops' accommodation ?) then cycles to the supermarket with child, where she browses the shelves. (Blank 90 ft to 94 ft) Armoured cars (Ferret Mk II with Vigilant missiles ?) on manoeuvres around jungle and paddy fields. Convoy passes through checkpoint. (Blank 167 ft to 170 ft) Ferret. Barbed wire put up at fence. Ferrets drive past sign saying YOU ARE NOW ENTERING A WHITE AREA.

Cataloguing: only a master dupe negative exists at present, and film was viewed in this form. Cataloguing may be considered incomplete due to difficulties in identification.

Remarks: the leader refers to the film being "TV material" but there is no clue as to what use this may have been put to.
