Synopsis
Japanese artillery pieces which have been captured in and around the town of Meiktila, central Burma, are lined up for inspection.
A line of captured Japanese guns. They include a Type 92 (70mm) Battalion Gun, a Type 11 (37mm) Infantry Gun, a 1905 (75mm) Field Gun and a (47mm) Anti-Tank Gun. Some of the guns are badly damaged and look very antiquated. The Battalion gun from both sides and the rear; the barrel is elevated and a shield rises as the barrel moves upwards. The Anti-Tank Gun from front and rear. The 1905 Field Gun with gun carriage attached; the rear of the gun. Remains of a 75mm after it was hit by British artillery. The wheels have been blown off and just the wooden spokes left behind. The shield is pock-marked by shrapnel and parts of it have been blown away altogether.
