Synopsis

Lieutenant-General Leese pays a visit to IV Corps which has been fighting in the Meiktila region of central Burma.

General Leese chats to fellow officers including Lieutenant-General Messervy, Major-General Mansergh and Lieutenant-Colonel Bayley. He meets a small group of men. Leese addresses a large group of Royal Artillery men who gather closely around him. Leese talks to officers. Messervy, Leese and Major-General David 'Punch' Cowan (17th Indian Division commander) walk and talk. Lieutenant-Colonel W Cooper of 1st Battalion The West Yorkshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's Own) presents a captured Japanese sword to Leese.
