Notes

Operations during IV Corps' drive on Rangoon were extensively covered by Sergeant Higgins and other British Army cameramen. See related items.

The No.58 Wireless Set was a Canadian-built version of the No.18 set, the figure 8 denoting equipment for use by the infantry. It was issued to the infantry at company level for communication with battalion HQ. The IWM's Department of Exhibits and Firearms has examples of both such sets in its collection.
