A simple sign marks the grave of No. 20687, Sepoy Ibrahim Khan of 2nd Battalion, 1st Punjab Regiment and gives his home village as Mota Jand, Mirpur (in Kashmir) and his date of death, in action, as 2 November 1944. Bomb or shell craters. An entrance to a Japanese bunker with more Japanese dead. The view, seen from an artillery Observation Post commanded by Captain C D Clare of Burnage, Manchester, on the 8871-foot Kennedy Peak. The padre of 9th Brigade, Reverend W B Moffet (formerly of Akyab, Burma) points out features of the terrain to Captain R W Livingstone, Medical Officer of 28th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery.
