Synopsis

Not long after the liberation of Rangoon, capital of Burma, and the end of the war in Europe, a celebratory victory race meeting is held at Rangoon racecourse.

Notes

Rangoon fell to an unopposed amphibious invasion on 3 May 1945. The war in Europe ended on 8 May following a catastrophic battle in Berlin.
