Synopsis

Scenes of an Allied victory parade, mounted in monsoon weather in Rangoon, capital of Burma, on 15 June 1945.

A unit of sailors passes the saluting base. A contingent of troops (Royal Marines?) passes the base. Troops of 2nd Division march past with fixed bayonets. View looking up at Lord Louis Mountbatten, Supreme Allied Commander, at the salute. United States troops pass with Mountbatten saluting at right of shot. Ordnance QF 25-pounder field guns are towed behind lorries past the saluting base. More vehicles. Mountbatten saluting. Self-propelled Ordnance QF 40mm Bofors guns passing (out of focus). Mountbatten saluting.
