Dorman-Smith with a Brigadier named on the dopesheet as 'H.E Younger (?)' at Kyaikasan racecourse. Dorman-Smith climbs the grandstand to his seat. View of the race from the grandstand; the leading horse wins comfortably. View from the rail as a single horse gallops past. Dorman-Smith (and his daughter?) in their box; an officer watches the race through binoculars. Dorman-Smith and Lady Dorman-Smith presents the Governor's Cup (a small trophy) to a Mr R Habeeb (presumably the owner of the winning horse). The 'officer's trophy', which appears to be a small tin can, is 'presented' to a laughing Major Ramsey. Close-up of Mr Habeeb with his trophy. Views of the crowd.

Notes

The 'H E Younger' identified on the dopesheet may in fact be Brigadier Ralph Younger, commander of 255th Indian Tank Brigade.

The dopesheet names other guests as having included Sir Johan Wise, Sir Herbert Dunkley, SIr Paw Tun (Burmese Prime Minister) and General Stopford (commander 12th Army).
