Synopsis
A football match is played at King's Park, Kowloon, between a team from No. 44 Commando Royal Marines and a local Chinese team.
General Festing, General Officer Commanding Hong Kong, walks across the football pitch at King's Park with two officers of the Royal Marines and a Chinese civilian. He meets the teams. The captains call the toss. Commandos watching from the sidelines; one has an improvised '44' flag. Chinese spectators on their feet with excitement. Notes
The dopesheet also names Group Captain Barker RAF and Lieutenant-Colonels Hellings and Drysdale (both of the Royal Marines) as having attended and gives the final score as 6-nil to the commandos. The dopesheet also mentions the Royal Marine band as having played at half time but they are not seen in this film.
