Synopsis

Ananda Mahidol, Rama VIII of Siam (Thailand), is received at a garden party thrown by Lord Louis Mountbatten (Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia) and Major-General Evans, commander Allied Land Forces Siam.

Notes

This party was thrown to mark the end of a series of peace celebrations and the visit of Mountbatten to Bangkok.

The King of Siam was born on 20 September 1925. He succeeded to the throne in March 1935 aged only nine, and died of a gunshot wound in mysterious and controversial circumstances less than six months after this film was taken, in June 1946.
