This film is held by the Imperial War Museum (ID: JFU 49).

Synopsis

1st Medium Regiment Royal Artillery in action near Myinmu, Burma.

An artillery piece is loaded and fired on Japanese positions as support for troops in 20th Indian Division crossing the Irrawaddy River.

Notes

Dopesheet states that these 5.5-inch guns were firing in support of infantry attacks and striking at Japanese positions, HQs and supply dumps under the direction of an air observation post (presumably 656 Air OP Squadron RAF). Also states that the guns are engaged in counter-battery fire and the harassment of Japanese lines of communication.
