Synopsis

Lord Louis Mountbatten, Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia, arrives in Rangoon, Burma, for a tour of inspection.

View from a high vantage point overlooking the parade ground at 12th Army headquarters in Rangoon. A guard of honour of 4th West African Brigade is formed up. Mountbatten's motorcade arrives. Guard presents arms and Mountbatten salutes. Mountbatten inspects the guard. At 552 Indian Infantry Workshops Mountbatten meets a Major C Robinson from Northern Ireland. Mountbatten meets Captain H A Lammin of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Walking through camp. Mountbatten visits the unit's 'Vulcanising Section'. Passing the 'G.E Office' (?). Mountbatten watches Indian Engineers rapidly assembling a dismantled jeep. The jeep is driven away. Mountbatten addressing troops.
