Synopsis

After victory over the Japanese in the battle for Fort Dufferin, Mandalay, Burma Lieutenant-General W J Slim takes part in a flag raising ceremony in the fort.

British troops march into Fort Dufferin three abreast. Lieutenant-General Slim inspects the men and climbs up a wooden stairway to a wooden platform. The Union flag is unfurled and the officers on the platform and the men gathered around it cheer. The ranks of men lining the parade ground have several M3 Honey tanks behind them.
