Synopsis

Part One. (B&W) "Atlantic crossing": HMS Dragon running swiftly in choppy seas. "Drills at Bermuda": an awning is rigged over the quarter deck. "Towing HMS York": HMS York is seen astern. "Weighing anchor by hand". "Testing fire extinguishers". "Estrelita": motor boat alongside HMS Dragon; mess scene with officers in formal dress. "Sailing and speed boat races". "Commander Graham sailed alone from England". "Front Street Hamilton", "Golf at Bermuda": B&W and colour shots of golfing. The remainder of part one is in mixed B&W and colour, showing holiday activities around the West Indies, including Jamaica, San Juan (Puerto Rico), Grenada, with footage of bathing, Commander Briggs playing with a monkey, and "the Duke and Duchess of Kent arrive on their honeymoon" by flying boat.
