Synopsis
I. "Bomber Assault - Bostons hit Valenciennes": Daylight aerial shots show British bombs falling on the assembly sheds, forges, and steel foundries of Valenciennes.
II. "Mr Churchill Returns from Moscow": the first meeting between the leader of the Soviet Union and the Prime Minister of Great Britain takes place in Moscow. Shots of Churchill and Stalin.
III. "Japan's First Defeat on Land": US Marines recapture the Solomon Islands in first allied offensive to be undertaken against the Japanese in the Pacific.
IV "Roving Camera Reports": Bostons over Egypt (Very short, badly cut). Montreal welcomes Canadian heroes of the raid on Dieppe.
V "Coast Patrol": In order to relieve the Navy's coastal ships of routine patrol duties, the Royal Army Service Corps use refitted peace-time cruisers to do the job. They are shown handling their boats efficiently and checking suspicious craft.
