Synopsis

Amateur film shot by Flight Lieutenant Denis "Nick" Nichols prior to becoming training officer to the Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force from September 1954 to May 1955 records social and ceremonial scenes in the British crown colony as experienced by a young RAF officer.

Camera: Nichols bought second-hand Bell & Howell Sports 8mm camera after his arrival in Hong Kong in December 1952; film took eight weeks to be processed in Australia and returned.
