Synopsis
Part I: The arrival of young civilians at primary training centre. "Royal Armoured Corps", A13 Cruisers, A10 Matilda and Valentine tanks on manoeuvres, 'Churchill' being used to demolish house. "Royal Artillery", firing of light and heavy artillery.
Part II: 'Royal Engineers", sorting and packing equipment. Construction of pontoon bridge, construction of railway. "Royal Corps of Signals", laying cable, using radio communication and Morse. "Infantry". Flowers are distributed amongst troops on parade; commandos? on exercises, include bayonet practice; Infantry on Vaagso.
Part III: "Army Air Corps", paratroops jumping from Whitley V. "RASC", supply depot in Middle East; refrigerated van being unloaded; "Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers", assembly of (Marmon Herrington?) armoured cars.
Part IV: Indian Army, ceremonial parade; artillery battle, Gurkhas on camels, building of road in Burma.
Part V: "ATS" on parade, open air lecture; in workshop, firing anti-aircraft gun, processing theodolite equipment.
