Synopsis
Part I: Gurkhas in basic training; negotiating obstacle course; of fire and a ravine. Transporting lorry across river on raft; men cross river by swimming with rifles.
Part II: Transporting kit across river; by floating on sticks and by pushing in front of wimmer. Gurkhas reveal booby trap in thickly vegetated area; practice with light machine guns; advancing with kukris and entering basher; making rope from bamboo leaves, officer inspecting pontoons.
