Synopsis

Reel 17: "Shall Mills, Troops and TPT" Indians practise wrestling. Military encampment. Camel transport train.

Reel 18: "11/4th GR Recruits' PT" Indian recruits do PT and learn rifle drill. (Captain Reed was administrative Commandant of 11/4th Bombay Grenadiers from 1 February 1932 to 15 July 1933)

Reel 19: "Hindubagh Sports" (ie Baluchistan) Sports day events, including three-legged race and ducking for apples.

Reel 20: "Kutab Minar, Delhi" Minaret.

Reel 21: "Bellary Moplah acrobats" (ie Madras State) Muslim men in distinctive white dress perform acrobatics.

Reel 22: "High-jumping and Mali, Nagar" High-jumping. Captain Reed's houseboy, Mali, gardening.

Reel 23: "Bathing" Reed's relatives bathing in North Wales.

Reel 24: "Biscoe Boys" Boat racing on lake, Kashmir?

Reel 25: "Koregaum Parade, Chaman. 1.29" (ie Baluchistan) Ceremonial parade of 2nd Battalion 4th Bombay Grenadiers, held on 1 January to commemorate Battle of Koregaum (1818). (Captain Reed was SPT company commander at Chaman from 2 November 1928 to 16 March 1929)

Amateur film without titles shot by Captain Ronald Reed of 2nd Battalion 4th Bombay Grenadiers (King Edward's Own) of Indian Army records military and off-duty scenes of an Indian Army regiment at the start of Gandhi's campaign of civil disobedience.

Summary: Titles are as transcribed from original 9.5mm cassettes before films were extracted and compiled onto larger reel for screening.
