Synopsis
Amateur film shot by Captain Torquil MacLeod of the 71st Highland Light Infantry.
Voyage out on troopship Dorsetshire from Liverpool to Port Said (Egypt), through Suez Canal and Red Sea, past oil tanks and Arab dhows, and arrival at Karachi, opposite "Trooping Shed". Train journey up country past Rohri Junction, Jhelum to final destination, where 1st Battalion troops the colour on parade ground (1937 according to cameraman's note), with mountains in background.
