Synopsis
Cars arrive at Government House, New Delhi. People gathered on the steps outside. Cars depart, crowds at the roadside. Mounted guards in a line outside Government House, Lord Mountbatten?, only just visible behind them, descends the steps. Mounted guards (the Governor General's Bodyguard) cross the 'courtyard' followed by a horsedrawn carriage with Lord and Lady Mountbatten, the procession continues along the street. Further views of the parade and the carriage arriving at its destination. Lord and Lady Mountbatten ascend the red-carpetted steps. Shots of the mounted guards turning to leave.
