Synopsis

Sacred Hindu ceremony of Shami Puja held in grounds of Kothi Palace in Rewa State, Madhya Pradesh, Northern India, on 5 October 1946 in presence of the Indian prince, concluding with marchpast.

Ornate white house. Carriage with servants. Holy man conducts ceremony, seated on the ground. Fort in the distance by a river. Impressive building. Caption: "Gaddi Pujan". B/W.
