Synopsis

I. "Britain's fastest plane." View of the Gloster Meteor jet on the ground and in flight.

II. "Burma liberated. British take Rangoon!" (News of the Day). Troops come ashore during an amphibious attack; paratroops land; RAF attack fleeing Japanese boat and RN Ship picks up survivors in life-jackets who are brought ashore blindfolded; Burmese civilians cheer British entering Rangoon.

III. "Destruction for the Japs in the air," (Movietone News) The 22,000 lb "Grand slam" bomb is dropped by an Avro Lancaster bomber on a viaduct in Germany.

IV. "World's biggest bomb" (Universal) A similar view of the 22,000 lb "Grand slam" bomb dropped by Lancaster on viaduct in Germany.
