Synopsis
Home movie of HMS Capetown on the China Station, featuring scenes in and around Hong Kong, early 1938.
The film begins with street scenes in Hong Kong and a sequence of children playing at a garden tea. There are scenes of HMS Capetown at sea, gun practice and exercises on board, and of officers clay-pigeon shooting. There are scenes of snow covered mountains around Hong Kong, ice on the shore, the coastline along the China Sea. The SS Yochow passes. There are shots of bayonet practice on board HMS Capetown.
