Synopsis

I. 'LATEST HAIR FASHIONS.' A male wig maker prepares a tressed hairpiece made from buffalo's tail. Girls are fitted with the hairpieces at a woman's hairdressers. views of various hairstyles follow. A London shopfront has a sign that reads "Plaits- four and a half guineas." Satisfied female customers come out of the shop carrying wig tresses.

II. 'CORONATION OF KING ABDULLAH.' Panoramic footage shows Amman, capital city of the Hashemite Kingdom of the Jordan (Transjordan). Brief footage shows the well preserved Greek amphitheatre at Amman (Philadelphia). Invited dignitaries from Arabia and Egypt arrive at the Amman Council Chamber for the coronation of King Abdullah. Following his coronation, King Abdullah broadcasts to his people. King Abdullah arrives at Amman airfield under armed Arab Legion escort to review elements of his armed forces. The King is greeted at the saluting base by Lieutenant-General John B Glubb, Commander of the Arab Legion. King Abdullah watches a march past containing elements drawn from the Camel Corps, Arab Legion, and infantry. King Abdullah leaves the airfield by open touring car at the conclusion of the march past.
