Series sequence: this is the first issue to bear the full WAR PICTORIAL NEWS title, previous issues having been titled WAR PICTORIAL only (they are thus to be found in alphabetical indexes after later issues as "NO" files after "NEWS NO"). "WAR" changed to "WORLD" after VJ Day. The greater part of the Museum's holding consists of a straight numerical run, occasionally broken or supplemented by WAR PICTORIAL NEWS SPECIAL EDITIONS or VARIANT issues.
