Synopsis
Rushes. An examination of the history of the British in India, largely from the point of view and experiences of Indians. Tape 4 includes:

Courtney (cont. from Tape 3); Commander Tevor De Almeida, ex-Royal Indian Navy; Mr Fali Billimoria, revolutionary in the Freedom Movement; Mr Baldev Gaira, freedom fighter from the Sindh; Mr A. K. Bannerji, from a distinguished Bengali family; Karl Khandalavala, an eminent lawyer; S.V. Gorakshekar, curator of the Prince of Wales Museum, Mumbai; Father Richard Lane-Smith (Anglo-Indian), who talks about beating up Indians as a young boy during British rule; Mrs Meenakshi Bakhle, wife of an eminent civil servant; Dr S.D. Mishra, Professor of Hindi Literature, Mumbai; Mr Setumadhavrao Pagadi, Maratha historian.
