Synopsis
Bombay: Traffic scenes in busy large city centre with double decker trams. Newly constructed flats . European boys and men at their leisure swimming , diving and playing at a swimming pool in a seaside setting.
Cargo boats at anchor, busy and bustling street arcade shopping scenes.
Production / Donor Details: The collection belonged to Herbert Bartholomew Gifford, a railway engineer (?) in India in the 1930s at Bikaner. He joined the forces (Royal Indian Engineers?) during WW2.
