Family scenes in the UK while on leave in the late 1930s and 1940s.
India street scenes with monkey trainer and rickshaw .Smartly dressed Europeans in a park setting with expensive large cars. Celebration party for Indian Independence with the hoisting of the flag.
Production / Donor Details: The collection belonged to Herbert Bartholomew Gifford, a railway engineer (?) in India in the 1930s at Bikaner. He joined the forces (Royal Indian Engineers?) during WW2.
