Synopsis
State Visit (post Independence) by Emperor Haile Selassi. Grant of Independence; the arrival of official guests and the celebrations, Dr Banda opening Dam. Tribal dancing. Touring expedition up country by the author showing Victoria Falls and wild game parks.
Production / Donor Details: The film was shot by Brian Walker, who was the last ex-colonial official to leave the Malawi government when he retired in 1986. He played an important role as a public servant in the government of former President Hastings Banda, for which he was awarded an OBE in 1981.
