Synopsis
Title falsely suggests the film is a story of a summer holiday in the Troodos mountains. There are some scenes from Cyprus but many more are of scenes in Britain. Extensive sequence of general and external views of Durham Cathedral, Castle and other buildings. Byzantine ruins. Village or small town centre in Britain. Local Gymkhana and pony club meeting in B/W. Coverage of a guests and main participants at a wedding in the UK (St Silas Church) and before the reception. The Barron daughters and others are bridesmaids distinctively dressed in long brown dresses with white trim.
Production / Donor Details: Harry and Mary Barron served in Cyprus from 1954 to the early 1960s. Mr Barron worked at the Air Ministry Works Department.
