This film is held by the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum (ID: 2006/088/005).
Synopsis
Calcutta - King George's dock under construction. Indians work on the dock while British engineers oversee the progress. The engineers line up for the camera, and water is let back into the port after a phase of construction is completed. There is a brief shot of a man fitting a cow for shoes, and more of the construction work has been documented. Additionally, there is a sign reading Britannia Building and Iron Co., the company which is most likely to have been hired to oversee the construction.
