Synopsis

Amateur film of recruits training in Waziristan.

Shots of the camp, road and countryside; Bannu - signpost showing routes to Waziristan, Bannu permanent camp - scouts block house at control post into tribal territory. Saidgi Camp; Shinki Pass (47). Tal in Tochi Camp - showing Scouts and Khassadars Permanent Piquets (69). Damdil Camp - local Khassadars (97). Razani Camp - demonstration of loading mules by Loyals (118). Razcol June 1932 - view of perimeter looking to Makin; withdrawl of Camp Piquets. Route Piquetting - issue of Piquetting slips (146). Note: The film was orignally taken as an instructional film for NCOs of the 2nd Horse Light Infantry before the battalion marched up to Razmak. Each staging camp on the 75 mile march was taken to show where the camp piquets were normally sited. Loading of mules and pitching of 160lb tents etc are also included. The film has no titles.
