This film is held by the BFI (ID: 280415).
Synopsis
Deals with the communist "threat" to an isolated village in Malaysia and promotes the concept of self-help, encouraging the tradition of consulting territorial chiefs who then consult with the district officers. The film shows an example of isolated villagers joining together to build one larger village from which they are better able to defend themselves against an attack. The villagers are seen successfully defending themselves against an armed night raid by the communists and are financially rewarded for their efforts.
