Synopsis

"Indore. Royal procession passing through elephant pylons" "State elephants enjoying a cooling dip".

Rice cultivation and irrigation.

"Bhopal [Feb.1922]. State elephants awaiting the arrival of the Prince at Bhopal Junction". Decorated elephants in a line.

"Her Highness the Nawat Begum - the only woman ruler of a native Indian state - drives through the city with the Prince".

"Procession to the Durbar. Returning to the Durbar", Durbar not shown.

"HRH and Maharajah of Gwalior are in the howdah of the leading elephant". The Prince presiding at the opening of King George Park - he unlocks the gates and crowds pour in. Well at Gwalior.

"Mr Brown, the English manager of the Maharajah's pottery works, with his native assistant. Mr Brown comes specially from Burslem at the Maharajah's request to take charge of the work". "The potter's wheel". The potter's wheel outdoors on the ground.

"The Taj Mahal". Several shots. The Prince drives through the Kashmir Gate.

"HE The Viceroy, HRH the Prince of Wales, and Lord Rowlinson, Commander-in-Chief in India, watch the march past of the Indian contingent.

"The Prince receives the Ruling Princes of India at the Durbar held at Diwar-l-Am, Delhi-Fort"

The Prince welcomed at Delhi by 53 Ruling Princes and their families in ceremonial robes. Scenes at the Durbar.

"A tinker at work". Possibly burning something.

"Laying the foundation stone of Kitchener's College". The Prince inspects the special guard of honour composed of members of the Indian army, and chats to a VC holder.
