This film is held by the BFI (ID: 348838).

Synopsis

A film looking at hunger and its causes, particularly politics and power struggles. It opens with scenes of hungry children, and the admonishment that the hungry know they need not be hungry, and looking at the disparity between the rich and the poor world. Hunger, its causes and injustices worldwide, and the notion of starving people being victims of political struggles for power, are illustrated in places such as Korea, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, China, and Africa. The relief aid efforts by the world churches are also investigated.
