Synopsis
Touring with students in the Dun Forest. Lachiwala bungalow. Variety of transport - motor, camels, bullock-cart. River scenes near Lachiwala, dogs and family in the water. Roorkee December 1932 - forest students build a trestle bridge over a sixty foot gap. Different types of derricks and guys for lifting large field guns and logs. Building a suspension bridge of 100ft span. Building works and scaffolding for a reinforced concrete arch for a 300ft bridge to span the Teesta valley. Kurseong and its steep tea gardens. Chasing a train by car up the Darjeeling road where they run next to each other. Anderson bridge. Buxa - aborigines sinking piles for bridge by pulling on cane ropes; steadying piles with wedges and a big mallet. Smoking a pipe.
