Synopsis
Scenes in Udaipur: feeding wild pigs; watering the state elephants; a fight between a wild boar and a tiger. Map of India indicating the position of Udaipur. Every night a keeper calls to and distributes grain to the wild pigs which come to the wall from the surrounding countryside (319). The State Elephants are taken out to be watered. Elephants are watched as they take part in a `push of war' competition (572). In an enclosed arena a wild boar is introduced to a captured wild tiger. The ensuing fight is watched by some people before the two animals area parted (952ft).
