Synopsis

The Calcutta Cup Race, 1925; arrival of the Lyttons and of Lord Reading, Viceroy of India.

The Governor shaking hands with dignitaries followed by his wife (84). "The Arrival of His Excellency The Viceroy" (90). The carriage and mounted escort pulls up. The passengers, including the Viceroy, Rufus Isaacs (1st Marquis of Reading) and his wife, Alice, alight. They stand for the National Anthem (?) (124). Europeans in the grandstand (139).
