Synopsis

Imperial Airways biplane lands. English dignitaries climbing out. The biplane in a field; people surround it. Pan of exterior of Umaid Bhawan Palace with scaffolding. Another biplane landing in a field.

No titles. An Imperial Airways biplane (G-EBMX) seen in flight (right to left). The biplane has three engine, a large one in front of the cockpit and smaller ones on each wing (11). Lands (left to right) make-shift airfield and taxis to camera (34) Europeans alight and are greeted by Indians; dignitaries and guests mill about near the plane (54). Pan of the biplane as it is refuelled by Indians; engineers are also seen at work on the plane (99). Ext views of the Umaid Bhawan Palace; pan of complete sections (rubble and construction site seen in the foreground. Further views of the Palace still under construction with scaffolding and cranes (215). XLS another Imperial Airways biplane in flight (no designations seen) (227).
