Synopsis
Overview of the history and work of the London Missionary Society in four sections. Includes narrative on the origins and pioneers of the Society, and scenes of various aspects of missions work in the different regions - Africa, Madagascar, India, China, Papua and Pacific Islands. Shows evangelisation and church-building, education and training institutions (theological institutions and bible schools), work with women, medical services, fund-raising and advocacy in the UK, and the 'New Advance' programme, including work to improve levels of literacy and the extension of mission to new unevengelised regions.
